Providing a wide range of assistance, VLCS helps with furniture, clothing, accommodation and food items (some of which are donated, some purchased), which are distributed to needy families within the metropolitan area.

Thirty other agencies, including Family & Children's Services, CentreLink, Disability Services, Australian Mercy Services, and the Salvation Army refer people to VLCS. Provision is also made for those who are lost, lonely, hurting, needy and who may be physically or mentally sick, needing protection, food and clothing.
